Well, the day after I called the management agency to sort out the issue with the rent, I come home from work to a letter taped to my door saying I have 5 days to pay my rent or vacate the premises. All this after I had payed my rent the day before. It’s been 5 days, so I can only assume at this point they’ve realized I payed the damned rent already. I can’t wait until February so I can find a new place in a different neighborhood and a different management entity.
On a brighter note, I went and saw Dethklok, Mastodon, High on Fire, and (ROFLMFAO FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK DRUGS) Converge. Dethklok and Mastodon were pretty damn good. High on Fire was pretty good. And Converge was the biggest joke of a band I have ever seen. There is just no way I can take a band that 3/4 of the lyrics consist of one guy screaming the word “FUCK” into a microphone, no matter how good the guitarist was. I’m definitely going to have to check out more Mastodon though.

What a lovely veterans day this is turning out to be. I called up my rental management agency because they hadn’t withdrawn my rent yet, just to find out they never received it. I suppose a plus side to it is I found out I can now pay it online, bypassing the post office and all the trouble they’ve caused me since I moved here. It’s one thing when mail is getting sent halfway across the world and the occasional item gets lost, but when an envelope gets lost going about 12 miles across town things tend to be a bit ridiculous. And this after the attempted theft of my identity about a month back that I believe was perpetrated by a USPS employee.
On a similar thread, the water to the building just got shut off because a sprinkler main that was connected to the same water supply as the building broke and was geysering outside the building. Hope it gets fixed before tomorrow…
